{"id":938,"date":"2025-11-29T01:02:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T06:02:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/imjustsayin.live\/?p=938"},"modified":"2025-11-29T01:48:59","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T06:48:59","slug":"survived-but-never-reconciled-part-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/imjustsayin.live\/index.php\/2025\/11\/29\/survived-but-never-reconciled-part-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Survived but Never Reconciled    Part II"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"postie-post\">\n<div>\n<div class=Section1>\n<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;  font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'>Survived but Never Reconciled &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/b><b><span  style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'>Part II&nbsp;&nbsp;  <\/span><\/b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'>To  Assimilate or not<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal align=center style='text-align:center'><span  style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'>Although,  Part I is partially incorporated in Part II -I invite you to read Part I as  this is the second in a series of two<\/span><span style='font-size:12.0pt;  line-height:115%;font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'>In Part I, I  asked: How has poverty replicated itself, exactly,<\/span><\/b><b><span  style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'> (so  precisely!)<\/span><\/b><b><span style='font-family:\"Bell MT\",\"serif\"'> in every  state of the union?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>All that I said in Part I, may have you hear me when I say:<b>  The welfare to this population of people &#8211; which began and continued in these  &#8216;poverty zones&#8217;<\/b> [slums in large cities across the nation] over GENERATIONS  &#8211; <b>did more harm than good<\/b>.<b> Irreparable harm.<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>Slavery decimated countless families over generations.. it  affected entire countries &#8211; maybe most of all &#8211; the USA. [I say]The policies of  the Governments of The United States were mired by poor judgments, greed,  politics, struggles for power; even after a bitter and bloody civil war it  seemed our governments showed little foresight and instituted policies which  perpetuated unimaginable outcomes [<i>yes<\/i>, over many generations].<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;We need a national remedy &#8211; that is to say &#8211; efforts led by  US Government &#8211; but embraced and brought to pass by every state and local  government in the Nation.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:9.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:  \"Courier New\"'>I wrote this two part composition, more than, a few years ago &#8211;  before this race to Socialism went into high gear &#8211; before the country went  stupid crazy nuts as we have today. The response to cow to extreme radicals and  call it &#8211; <i>forgive me as I don&#8217;t know that they or I should call it<\/i>  &#8211; is NOT in any way what I advocate when I say we need to address this issue.  The current way &#8230; is not my way &#8211; <i>for sure<\/i>. Frankly what is  happening in America today has me a little speechless as I try to understand it  all. I will post a few words soon. jl<\/span><span style='font-family:\"Courier New\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:  normal'><b>American Citizens of African American Decent &#8211; through Slavery &nbsp;and  so much wrong that followed- were wronged beyond explanation &#8211; intentionally or  unintentionally &#8211; *across generations &#8230; .<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:  normal'><b><span style='font-size:8.0pt;font-family:\"Courier New\"'>*Unlike any  other group in History with exception to the &#8216;Native American&#8217; Peoples.<\/span><\/b><b><span  style='font-family:\"Courier New\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:  normal'><b><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>No record will say so &#8211; that the collective Governments of  the<b> United States &#8211; &#8216;awarded&#8217; the &#8216;necessities of life&#8217;<\/b> to these  families [&#8216;reparations&#8217;?] <b>and, then to their descendants in which one result  was they ended up &#8211; in ghettos across our country<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;I can&#8217;t help but to say that it was similar for those  &#8216;native American peoples&#8217; except one group found themselves in ghetto&#8217;s in  Cities &#8211; the other in ghettos on Reservations. One group was murdered into  submission &#8211; the other was only cheated and forced to do the same. <b>Both  truths break my heart<\/b>.<b><o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>And, the younger generations hated it! They rebelled &#8211; a  little differently by each generation.<\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>There was however, a sure &#8216;theme&#8217; if you will accept that  term. More and more each generation, those of African American decent chose to  not be <u>like the white establishment<\/u>; young men in particular <b>refused  to assimilate <u>by choice<\/u>.&nbsp; <o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal><b>African Americans not only refused to assimilate &#8211; they  did it decisively and with abject defiance &#8211; which grew stronger over generations  [now hijacked and guided by radical political movements].<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal><b>Coupled with additional<\/b> generational issues &#8211;  frustration, helplessness, and anger grew; black <b><i>youth became even more  opposite white middle class norms in the extreme &#8211; and, many became even less  understood &#8211; through each successive generation. <o:p><\/o:p><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>Refusing to assimilate with such defiance and determined  choice always seemed counterproductive to me; even so &#8211; I must add that as I  look? <b>Today?<i> I get it! <\/i><\/b>Assimilation was out of the question! To  use this logic is another type of &#8216;Blaming The Victim&#8217;. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal>To make all this right will take love of a level I&#8217;m not  sure America has in reserve right now.
